Playsilks
A staple of Waldorf education, playsilks are the epitome of creative playthings. Unlike so many toys that have only one way of playing, silks have truely limitless possiblities. Children can use them to create anything...capes, blankets, hats, beds, roofs over play houses etc. With a playsilk they may become a wild animal, a princess, a knight, a wizzard, a doctor, or anything their heart desires. It is such a joy to watch your children use a silk and their imagination to create an afternoon of creative fun.
Our beautiful hand-dyed playsilks are generously sized at 35"x35" for lots of play possibilities. They are made from 8mm silk (many others use 5mm) and are machine washable on delicate.
